Making Over the World - One Face at a Time! Part 2

Thank you to all of you who tuned in last night to see "Summer Makeup Tips".  I hope you enjoyed the tips & tricks featured on The Coastal Source!  Just in case you missed it, here's a link to the video:

http://www.thecoastalsource.com/news/local/story/Summer-Makeup-Tips-From-A-Local-Pro/JK22pScJXkK6PHnE9Gk4Kw.cspx

Wondering about the products I recommended?  Well here's a list to get you started:

Eyes:
Jewel toned waterproof eyeliners from Make Up For Ever
Eye shadow primer from Urban Decay
Avon’s Wash Off Waterproof Mascara

Lips:
Use a pinky brown lip pencil with sheer gloss rich in SPF
Heavy lipsticks in summer will dry out your lips & be too much.
Stick to light colors, shear gloss, and lip stains.

Bronzer:
When bronzing, pick a color that is no more than 2 shades darker than your skin tone. Also make sure it is matte. Shimmer bronzer on your face will make your makeup look muddy vs. clean and fresh.

Face:
Create your own tinted moisturizer by simply mixing foundation with an SPF-infused moisturizer and blending it in. Apply a face primer before to even out your skin’s texture and create a perfectly smooth canvas for your makeup
Face primers- oil absorbing Photo Finish Light from Smashbox
SPF- Block UVA & UVB rays
Cetaphil 50+
Peter Thomas Roth Uber Dry
Oil blotting sheets

Making Over the World - One Face at a Time!

I had the pleasure of going over to WJCL/Fox 28 studio yesterday to give a few summer makeup tips and provide Jennifer Beale with her first airbrush experience.  Truth be told, I was really nervous.  Makeup tips and makeovers don't make me nervous, wearing a mic and being in front of the camera for the first time made me nervous.  Jennifer and funny camera man, Nate, made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.

What a great way to share some of the tricks of the trade and helpful tips! I hope all of you enjoy the spot which will air tomorrow night at 10pm on Fox & again at 11pm on WJCL

Here's a link to Jennifer Beale's blog about our fun visit!

Egg White Mask for Firmer Looking Skin

Beat one egg white in a bowl.  Spread a thin film on your face.  Rinse off after 10 to 20 minutes.  This mask tightens up the skin and flattens wrinkles.  Don't do this mask too often, your skin will eventually become resistant to the effect.  Perfect before a big event or photo shoot!
