Bianca & Ramon Featured on Style Me Pretty!!
You may remember Bianca & Ramon from their e-session back in January.. Gorgeous girl, handsome groom, simply a fantastic couple to be featured. Here's their story in Bianca's words:
Ramon and I have been together for over seven years and knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding in a special way with plenty of family and friends. When we stepped foot in Savannah ten months before our wedding day, we knew it was the place for us. The historic, southern charm of downtown and the warm hospitality were the driving factors for our choice. For our ceremony location, we chose the beautiful Ballroom on Broughton. It was a newly renovated loft space in the middle of downtown with beautiful chandeliers and oak hardwood floors. We had the honor of hosting its very first wedding. The ballroom felt very intimate but was large enough for our two hundred and fifty guests! Our ceremony floral arrangements were to die for ~ consisting of only white and beige flowers to maintain the regal look of the ballroom. The hanging orchids at the altar were whimsical and added just the right touch to the room.
Th Charles H. Morris Center was the ideal location for our reception. The exposed brick, along with the beautiful hardwood floors provided the perfect mix between a modern and historical feel. We wanted a place where our guests would feel completely at home to dance and enjoy the night. Along with the beautiful interior of the Morris Center, the floral arrangements were a great contrast to the ceremony decor providing a bold blast of color. We wanted our guests to enter the reception and just fall in a sea of color. The dark burgundy and coral arrangements along with the candelabras kept with our regal theme. Our wedding was everything we hoped for and the vendors in Savannah, especially our plannerTricia Huddas and our team of photographers at Allison Reisz Photography, made our destination wedding a complete success!

From TYTAN:
"This was our most ambitious project yet. We shot this spot for Savannah Morning News. The location is an old warehouse in Savannah, GA. The idea was to establish Savannah Morning News as being around through an era of times, still evolving and adapting."

Puffy Eyes?
Puffy eyes can be caused by many factors. These include fluid retention, stress, allergies, hormone changes, and other factors as well. When we cry, it is often accompanied by swollen eyes. This is due to the fact that are body reacts to emotions and causes more blood to flow through the eyes which leads to swelling. Also the production of too many emotional tears can strain the eyes. Also, we get puffy eyes after sleeping. This can be caused by different factors such as too much sodium in a diet causing water retention, tossing and turning and not getting enough sleep, excessive drinking of alcohol, and others as well.
For normal puffy eyes that are not caused by other eye conditions, there are many ways to get rid of puffy eyes. The following is a list of what to do for treating puffy eyes:
- Wash face with ice cold water
- Limit alcohol & sodium intake
- Drink plenty of water to clean out your system
- Place two slices of cool cucumber on the eyes for several minutes
- Moisten two tea bags in cold water, chill them in the refrigerator and place them over closed eyelids for several minutes
- Elevating your head when you sleep
- Lighting pressing cold spoons over closed eyes
- Applying crushed mint under the eyes
- Using cold (from the fridge) fresh cut Aloe under the eyes. Slice the leaf in half and apply directly.

DIY Cortisone Treatment for Acne
Have you ever had a huge mountain of a pimple on your face right before an important event? I hear this a lot from my brides the week before their wedding. It's underground, painful, & doesn't seem to be going anywhere! "How do I get rid of this?!" is the question I often hear. Well going to the Dermatologist can help almost instantly. Cortisone injections can dramatically reduce inflammation and speed up healing. With cystic acne lesions in particular, healing usually begins immediately. But going to the Derm isn't always the easiest on the budget, especially when it's for a pimple. (Just keepin' it real.) Also getting an injection doesn't sit well with everyone. Cortisone shots can be very painful, worth it, but painful. So what else can you do?
Here's an easy & effective home remedy for the next time this happens to you or someone you know.
Ingredients you'll need:
1. Clean washcloth
2. Hot water
3. 1% Hydrocortisone cream - I like Aveeno ($6 at any drug store)
What to do:
Take your washcloth and moisten it with water that's as hot as your skin can stand. But please be smart & don't burn yourself. Fold it up and apply it to the pimple. As the outer folds of the washcloth start to cool, refold it so the warmer inside layers are exposed and reapply. After 10 or 15 minutes when the washcloth has cooled off, run it under more hot water to get it hot again and repeat. After you have done several cycles, add a lot of the hydrocortisone cream directly to the area & let it sit for 2 hours.
How to prevent:
Make sure to wash off your makeup every night and cleanse your face every morning.
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Don't touch your face!!
Up your water intake.
Use an oil-free moisturizer daily.
